Thesis Project

The Georgia Katherine Center

The Georgia Katherine Center strives to be an inclusive space for all pediatric cancer patients that allows them to get the care and to be free to have fun and play like kids again.

Preliminary

This study determines and examines the need for better designed healthcare for pediatric patients and ways that it can be made better. A structured questionnaire was made with 12 short answer questions and answered by two parents of pediatric cancer patients. The results showed a great need to rethink how healthcare centers are designed and what is done to allow the patients to feel the most comfortable. We conclude that pediatric healthcare can be designed in better ways for the patients well-being and overall happiness during treatments and or hospital stays.
